Ksenya was SO excited to swim for our neighborhood swim team this summer. Her first meet was away- she won both her heats in the 25yd freestyle and backstroke (but DQed for the freestyle because she stood up just before she touched the wall- rookie mistake). She was a fast little swimmer and made it all the way to the gold championship meet at the end of the season- not bad for a kid who has never really learned the mechanics of swimming until now.
